Reactive Dogs - how to eliminate/control dog aggression

Article by dog expert Caroline Spencer, owner of the Pure Dog Listener Ltd.
When I talk about reactive dogs I’m also talking aggression. Most aggression is born out of fear, fear of losing a resource, whether that be: space, food, owner, toy. They are guarding what they need and what they want, who needs It more? Who wants it more? Who is desperate enough to display the ultimate behaviour of fight.Your dog needs you, not a whole host of non family members. Be there for him through thick and thin and he will trust, respect and love you.

The Wolf Within Project - An Innovative Behaviour Programme for Problem Kids and Dogs
nigel hall with dogThe Wolf Within is a course that teaches ‘problem’ students how to correct ‘problem’ dogs. The idea was the brainchild of dog behaviourist and the projects founder Nigel Reed. Students learn about wolf pack dynamics and how our dogs' wolf ancestry still influences their behaviour today. When they understand the needs of dogs, they learn how to effectively fulfil them for the dog which in turn corrects all unwanted behaviours like biting and aggression. The information learnt from the course will be used by the students and Nigel to help distressed dog owners in London.
