Paul Manktelow.  Feline Leukaemia Virus (FeLV) is a retrovirus with many similarities to Feline Immunodeficiency virus (FIV).  Infection with FeLV is serious and can lead to severe anaemia, neoplasia (cancer) and suppression of the immune system.  Infection can very often be fatal.
