Paul Manktelow. Heart failure is relatively common in dogs, affecting around 15% of dogs in the UK. It is a serious condition but with the right management and treatment, dogs with heart failure may still be able to enjoy a reasonably good quality of life. This article aims to provide a general overview of the symptoms, diagnosis and treatment of heart failure in dogs.
