Smart Feeder and Pedi Paws
This months new products have come from CRUFTS 2009. The brand new Smart Feeder for cats and dogs has a automatic lid that has a motion sensor so the food is only available when your pet is ready to feed. This unique feeding tool reduces unwanted smells and preserves the food for longer. The Pedi Paws was introduced for the first time and will make short time of cutting pets nails. Finally it was great to see one of our best selling products, the Paw Plunger, flying off the shelves. We have championed this great product from the start. Check it out in our shop
Meet Ruby
Hi my name is Ruby and I am a three year old retriever cross. I was born in Devon in the West Country but now reside in Otley on the door step of the beautiful Yorkshire Dales with my owners Carolyn and Chris.
My mother was a gentle sweet natured Golden Retriever called Maggie and my father was a handsome boisterous Flat-Coated Retriever called Drummer. I am told that I have inherited my mum's lovely temperament and my dad's beautiful black silky coat and wonderful zest for life. Since I was a young pup I have regularly attended training classes at the Tailwagger Club in Leeds and in recent months proudly passed my Good Citizen Award Scheme test at gold level. I'm also a member of the Tailwagger Display Team. My doggie friends and I have great fun at team practices and show days.....all those magnificent treats! You can follow my many adventures in my Doggie Diary. I look forward to sharing them with you all.

Toby the Labrador receives Bravery Award
In June 2007 Toby, an eighteen month Labrador, protected his family from an armed burglar whilst they slept. Despite receiving four serious stab wounds and a punctured lung, Toby held his ground and valiantly fought off the intruder preventing him from climbing the stairs to the bedrooms.
Toby’s owner, Mr Morton, awoke to the sound of Toby’s barking and on looking out of the bedroom window saw a man escaping over the fence. Rushing downstairs he saw blood on the walls and carpet and outside he found Toby standing with his paws on the back fence trying to give chase to the burglar. Minutes later the brave dog collapsed.Happily Toby survived the attack despite his serious injuries and he has been awarded the PDSA Gold Award for Bravery. The charity's senior Deputy Chairman, Chris Heaps, presented the award to Toby and claimed him to be a worthy recipient.
The offender has received a three-and-a-half year prison sentence for aggravated burglary.
